## What this website stores.

### 1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Websites can also use similar browser storage (local storage and session storage). They help a site work, make it more efficient, and give its owners information about how it is used.

### 2. What we use, and why there is no cookie banner

We use only **strictly necessary** items: ones the site needs in order to work, or that you ask for by using it. The law does not require your consent for these, so we do not show a consent banner. We do not use functional, analytics, performance, advertising, marketing or targeting cookies. We do count page views, with a request to our own analytics service that sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser (see the [Privacy Policy](https://dscvryai.com/legal/privacy/) , section 4).

### 3. The items in use

- **Announcement bar choice** (first-party, local storage, `dscvry-announce-dismissed`): remembers that you closed the announcement bar so it does not reappear for the same announcement. Kept until you clear your browser storage. Not sent to us.
- **Menu tab choice** (first-party, session storage, `dscvry-open-tab`): lets a menu link open the right tab on the page you arrive at. Removed when you close the tab. Not sent to us.
- **Security and bot check** (third party, Cloudflare): Cloudflare hosts this site and may set security cookies, or use similar storage, to protect it from attacks. Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a visitor to our contact and Resolve forms is a person and not a script, may use browser signals and similar storage for that check. ### 4. Third parties

Cloudflare is the only third party that can store something in your browser when you use this site, and only for security and the bot check on our forms. We run no third-party advertising or tracking.

### 5. How to manage cookies and storage

Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies and site storage; the browser’s help pages explain how. Blocking the items above does not stop the site from working, but the announcement bar will reappear on each visit, and the forms may not pass the bot check.

### 6. If this changes

If we add analytics cookies or any other optional technology, we will ask for your consent before it is set, give you a way to change or withdraw that consent at any time, list each cookie with its name, provider, purpose and duration here, and change the date above. We will tell you about material changes on this page.
